Using over 20 years of experience in body therapies, Barbara helps people with back pain, hip and knee dysfunction and neck and shoulder problems. Sessions begin with explaining the body’s imbalances and how to correct poor posture and reduce pain with simple yet effective exercises. Her sessions can benefit all ages and fitness levels.
Barbara found Pilates after fracturing her cervical spine. She was also diagnosed with scoliosis and degenerative disc disease in her mid 30's which left her frightened and in pain. It was suggested that she have a spinal fusion to stabilize her spine. Instead, she decided to practice Pilates.
She opened her first studio in 2005 and had taught at Hospitals,gyms wellness centers and skilled nursing facilities. Currently she lives in Warsaw, Ohio and teaches on Zoom.
Most everyone experiences some reduced flexibility and strength as they age. The reason for this is that we don’t understand how our bodies work. Barbara gives you an “owner’s manual” that will teach you how to lubricate your joins; strengthen your muscles and invigorate your neurological system. The result?
